Lyrics
There’s nothing that I’m looking to see
I’ve got a speaker and it’s speaking to me
Internal halos they get caught up on everything
The doors refuse to open again
John Wayne is in the bushes above the 110
I’m sober enough now to agree it’s a soft amen
A single contradiction has put me in my place
It took a giant corporation to buy up all the space
Inside the convent walls
Convent walls
You stopped writing at the final draft
A pill cutter cuts your pills in half
Excruciating summer spent getting into jazz
I used to think mirrors mattered
Until I put one up to myself
Barely a reflection and one that looked like someone else
You put your big shoes on so you could scale the convent walls
You pulled the ivy down so you could burn the convent walls
You didn’t leave a note when you ran from the convent walls
You didn’t learn a goddamn thing inside the convent walls
Convent walls
Convent walls
Convent walls
Convent walls
